This five day course is taught in three phases. The first phase involves the student learning basic principles of "practical" geometry. Secondly, the student is taught basic drafting techniques that include three views (orthographic) construction and projection of points and lines from one view to another. The third phase involves combining the geometry and drafting. The result is a practical application as related to sheet metal pattern development. Lab work is a major portion of this course. Pattern layouts include cones, pyramids, and transition pieces.
